We asked an AI assistant (with live web search) the 15 questions real buyers ask when choosing a UK marketing agency — “best SEO agency UK”, “best PR agency UK”, and so on — and recorded every agency the answers actually named. 111 agencies were recommended at least once. No agency (including us) appeared in more than 4 of 15 answers: AI visibility in this market is wide open.

What the assistant answered for each buying question, verbatim extraction — including the one query where it recommended nobody at all.
Each query was sent, exactly as a buyer would type it, to Claude (claude-haiku-4.5) with live web search on 2026-07-19. We recorded the agencies each answer actually recommended and the sources it cited. Names were de-duplicated; nothing else was altered.
We do not model, predict, or estimate visibility — if an agency isn’t listed, the assistant didn’t name it that day. AI answers vary between runs and engines, so treat single mentions as signal, not verdict. Additional engines join the index as we add coverage, and the index re-runs monthly with the history kept.
Aether appears in this index only if the answers name us — this month they didn’t. That’s the point: it’s a real benchmark, including for us.
